Digital Sound Processing (DSP).

Post by pontiac » Fri Jul 14, 2017 8:57 am

Another enquiry from Ireland.....
How do i know if I have or can active DSP in my 2005 X5 M Sport?
Alternatively, if it does not come as standard can I install it? What's involved?
The entertainment system in the boot has the 6 CD Changer & Nav dvd/cd box.

Thanks Guys.

Put the last 7 characters of your VIN into a decoder such as bmwvin.com and see what the car was built with.

If the option list does not include it then you will need all of the hardware (speakers, subwoofer, amp etc) installed.

The wiring loom though may be in place with the right connectors.  For a while BMW installed a single loom for every option even if not fitted.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
