Previous X5 For Sale AUC BMW £24,000 40D M Sport

Hi,

If anyone is looking for a good 40D M Sport my old one is for sale at Bmw for £24,000.
I looked after it well and it has plenty of tread on the tyres.
Has some good options too, 4 Zone Climate, Comfort Seats, M Sport Suspension Deletion, Upgraded Sound System, 20" 333M Wheels.

The 40d is a very desirable engine choice and the cars hold their value well.  Plus it would come with an AUC warranty.  My 2012 40d was £30k a year ago - is higher specced than this one but still, mot cheap for a five year old car. I think this price is market-related and likely could be sweetened a bit by dealer keen to sell.

There is a 40d SE with Dynamic Pack on AUC for 19.5k with similar miles, granted a few things less spec wise.

I'm new to E70's, do the M Sports command a significant premium?

Been offered 21K for mine - 2012 40D, 40k miles, full main dealer history Think I'll keep it

The uncertainty about diesel vehicles and massive punitive tax hikes on them is causing price fluctuations I think, particularly for cars around 5 years and older.  I think spec and options play a big role in sales, alongside colour combos and full service history.  I guess most of us still paying them off are in negative equity country now.  I am definitely keeping mine long term however attractive a shiny new might be!

Across the BMW range M sport normally commands circa £2500 on the used car market.

Looks like they have dropped it 1K. They had it advertised at 24k, they gave me 19  It is in excellent condition with only 1 previous owner and mostly Bmw History. The dealership are terrible and do not check the approved used cars. Had so many issues with the new 435d, shredded tyres and many other problems. Would never ever buy from Halliwell Jones again.

hi what is the 435d like ? are you running 19" runflats ? ride quality .

Yes ive got 2 435ds. One has 20" M Performance wheels and the other 19". Both with runflats. The ride quality isnt bad to be honest. The 19" is slightly smoother however the 20" looks a lot better. I will be going with non run flats once they wear out though.

I see they have reduced it to 22 now nobody would buy it at there greedy 24k price.
