I don't think I've ever seen an X5 with that door trim finish before, most are black silver or carnon effect.
I assume it was an option from BMW? It must be quite rare as most cars in the Uk don't have it and does look good.

It's the only BMW that I have seen with this trim installed
It's a BMW Individual option - only available with the leather version dashboard
