Hello, I have a 2005 e53 and wondering about air suspension pump differences. Is there more than one standard suspension pump?
The original from my car:
And one I bought off ebay:
The mounting holes are same but some differences in wiring which the mechanic does not want to take responsibility for. I have ordered good parts from this ebay site before but may have to send it back if its not compatible: http://www.ebay.com/itm/292081699945?_t ... 2749.l2649
Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Air suspension pump, different parts?
Re: Air suspension pump, different parts?
Depends upon whether you have self-levelling suspension (rear only) or full air suspension (all corners). The lower pic looks like one that is for full air?
Checked Realoem and that part number is for 2-axle air suspension, not self-levelling.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
Re: Air suspension pump, different parts?
Thanks. Wasnt aware of the difference in suspensions. According to my VIN, I have the "S221 2-axle self-levelling suspension" option. Ebay seller acknowledged the error and will take it back. Expecting a new one soon.
Cheers.
