Your car, you can do what you damn well like with it.
Really annoys me when someone denigrates your / my pride and joy.

It is a forum after all where others input their guidance, thoughts, feedback and views

However on this I agree I prefer the clean look without the M badge, but it's not horrific in anyway

M badge has many posts across the internet, with divided opinions

Nice looking example otherwise ;)

Very nice car, looks very well kept
Re the controversial M badge, each to their own, but at least mount it on the right grill
(if fitted they should be on the passenger side haha)

I agree that comments like the M-badge is "horrific" are OTT and unnecessary.  However, the siting of the badge I guess is controversial, as it is not OEM and might look strange to some.  Its your car though, so you have it the way you want it  :)

Best of luck with it, they are lovely cars to drive

Personally I like the cars with less badges rather than more - I had the tailgate badges removed from my new F15, but I left on the little M badges on the front wings. Did the same on my last two X5s, and debadged my 530i, Boxster and 330Ci before that.

You should do what suits you (and you have).

I would however publicly ridicule someone who say put a BMW badge on another make of car!  :o

It'll be allright in the end. If it isn't allright it isn't the end

The M badge on the grill may be controversial, but there is always satisfaction in knowing that the silver/chrome grille on the X5 is the superior one, indicating the faster engine!  :P Quite similar to how E46 BMW's would have a single pea shooter exhaust for the 4 cylinder engines and a dual exit exhaust for the 6 cylinder engines.
