I have a 2008 X5 E70 SD Se spec with msport suspension (I forget the term for the factory upgrade) The air suspension warning light came on tonight together with 'Air suspension system failure' I have checked both rear struts and can hear the compressor when car started and it lifts both sides but then I can hear air escaping from the passenger side rear , so I am assuming the bag is leaking.
Can anyone recommend any particular brand of aftermarket suspension airbags? I also see that there are diffeences between 'comfort' airbags and 'Sport' I assume I will need the sport ones. Any pointers will be appreciated, whilst I contine research on past threads on here!

Thanks for that. I had just found the post too. Will source some tomorrow!
Re: Rear Air suspension failure
The penny has also dropped that my car shouldn't be sinking down when parked up! The last owner said he had it configured to sit on its ass when switched off. He obviously saw me coming! It;s obviously been leaking for a while.

Hi
Yes I think you may be right that the previous owner was aware of the issue with the air bags, unless you bought it from a dealer Indy or BMW there will probably be little come back.
The post from Horizon give you a link and the two favoured ones are Arnott and original BMW depending on budget and if under warranty.
It may be worth considering doing both airbags, because if one has gone the other may be close behind as they are both the same age, especially if you fit one new with stronger rubber with the old the older which is already worn, but will depend on your budget and time.
