Bit of a random question I have fitted LED bulbs as a replacement for my puddle lights, however when I unlock my car, they flash on and immediately off again. I have tested the bulbs elsewhere and even used the ones from my partners car on mine and it's 100% not the bulbs.
The car just doesn't seem to like them for some reason.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Re: LED Puddle Lights flash on and off
Yeah, put the bulbs back & the problem will fix its self )
The puddle lamps, as per the interior lamps have a timer / capacitor discharge or some computerised junk to control them & the time cycle to begin fading them out....
it may simply be that the current draw of the LED's is not enough for the computer to detect them...
i tried the same, & had the same issues, & eventually simply put the T10 bulbs back in.. and THEY WORKED again.
Damned car is too smart & out wits us often !

Had the same happen when I put some GU10 LED bulbs in the hallway at home which were run via a dimmer switch, had to put the halogen ones back in

Re: LED Puddle Lights flash on and off
Interestingly though, other people have no issues with them, and last night as a one off they randomly decided to work.
Very confusing. The LED bulbs are so much brighter though it's a shame to take them out.
