Luggage Storage ideas?

Post by sharpharp » Sun May 07, 2017 11:53 pm

Hi all,

After some advice, got to use the X3 to transport 5 people + 6 large suitcases + several holdalls, can anyone offer up some ideas?

I can probably get 3 suitcases and some holdalls piled up in the car, but what would be a better idea?
I don't fancy shelling out for a RoofBox and Roof bars for something which is only likely to be an occasional event.

Any ideas? Anyone able to loan a roofbar/box?

Towbar and trailer would work well.

Have you got a towbar?

I've got a Thule Easybase, basically a tower mounted bike rack without tracks for the bikes. Carries up to 50kg, although it holds my weight, so thats a conservative max weight.

RRP is around £200, but can be found for about £150, and a kit to use as bike carrier is also available.

Folds down flat so can be stored hung on wall taking up very little space.
