I can't say I have ever had an issue with insurance, my other vehicle is a modified VW T5.
It has a big turbo, tubular manifold, big intercooler, exhaust, Brembo brakes, Bilstein suspension etc currently 287hp/ 625nm and it's still way cheaper to insure compared to our X5 with all mods declared.

Probably due to the fact that every car thief and his/her flip flop wants to get their hands on high level 4X4's like ours. Range Rovers and such have the same insurance issues
