Ordered X3 30d xline early March. Checking progress on BMW genius showed expected delivery week 19 in May. The main reason is because under the US Freedom of Information Act, BMW are obliged to make the data available. In the EU they aren't so they won't spend the money to connect customers in via a portal interface. Look how long BMW in car telematics stuck to 2G data and ignored 3G and better. It costs money so they just won't spend it.
It's the same with most industries....legally required in the US, not elsewhere. It is also why BMW user manuals etc are easy to find for US models but in Europe have to be got (AFAIK) via your Dealer.
