Hi still after a F15 but it was such a good deal & xdrive !
Will post pics as soon as have time , the car is fully kitted out with Satnav , leather sports heated seats , sunroof , 8 speed auto , flappy paddle shift , dual climate , electric tail gate , park assist , plus a load of other stuff .
It totally surprised me that it was so spacious inside and well equipped , the wife is over the moon .

Hi

Glad your wife is over the moon,as they say a happy wife is a happy life.

I'm sure she will probably agree to an F15 as well now :)

Hi

It looks good and nicely finished inside.

I was surprised its a 7 seater, a very practical option.

Had something similar to this a couple of years ago as a courtesy car.
Im sure it was front wheel drive and the only good thing about it was the seats.

Hi it is the four wheeled drive version , it is surprisingly quick (190 Bhp 400 nm ) , did a 40 mile round trip yesterday motorway and back roads average mpg 49.9 . It was mainly bought as a child friendly mpv , although it doesn't look much like the run of the mill mpv s it has a quality feel to the interior .
Standard features 8 speed auto with flappy paddles , satnav , front and rear parking sensors , 18" m sport wheels m486 , twin tail pipes , full leather , electric folding heated mirrors , cruise control , dual climate , heated seats , park assist ( parks itself in a space after detecting one ) tele services , crash sensors , 6 air bags , mood lighting , etc we spec d it with a sunroof and a few other options .
It won't be everyone's cup of tea although it is a great alternative to the X1 that we had that just seemed dated , and with 3 kids and their friends to carry about it is in a different class from the usual mpv s .
Now I can get the Boxster ordered and wait for the new X5 to come out next year !

Unusual but very nice!
I think the designers put a very worthwhile arguement to the acceptance team with the 2 series grand tourers, whilst undeniably BMW the interior is a revelation and much needed as every model looks like the next to the point of boring and very boring model range !
I love the 2 series with Ivory and black interior.......

I was given one as a loaner when my X was having its new transfer box.  Felt really really small and I hated it, but then anything smaller than an X5 feels terribly small to me!

Seriously, though, all the best with it Sid, the design is very clever and its a nice little runabout!  :)

Lovely car.  I wish you all the best with it.

I had a 220 grand tourer (non xdrive) for a few days while some work was done on my X5.  I was impressed with the grand tourer also.  It isn't as good as the X5 of course but that is like comparing apples and oranges.

My main prerequisite is getting three child seats in the 2nd row which was managed just about. I must have looked a bit of an odd fellow at the garage transferring seats and fiddling around for 10 minutes or so.  The space inside was surprising.  I'm not quite sure about the tables in the back of the seats.  They look like a bit of an afterthought to me.  The car was also pretty nippy and felt like a lot of fun to drive unlike other MPVs I've driven.  The msport suspension was pretty harsh though.  It made me realise just how good the X5 is when I got it back.

My Dad was thinking of getting one of these to replace his 1 series... but was put off by the fact that the bonnet slopes down so much that you can't see it from the driving seat.... or so he said. Otherwise he said it was much easier to get in and out of than the 1 series.
