Smooth running fault ?

I've lost power and the scanner says smooth running device or something !
Any ideas would be appreciated [emoji106]

Hi

It could be a lot of things a loose pipe or split in one wil certainly cause probs esp near Mass air flow sensor (MAF)

You really need the exact code and year of car and model for others to help more but my money it may be worth getting the MAF sensor checked before spending money, as a few have had this prob with them.

I know Jagr had this and also see this link as it affects the running of the car and feels like losing power.

As graemeX5 says you need the error code to really help with a diagnosis.

The last X3 I heard of with a smooth running fault ended up being a faulty injector.
