I jus bought an F15 having had the E70 3.0, 3.5, and 40 variations. Looking on the forum the F15 seems to have it issues too but which one do you think is better overall - the E70 or F15? I thought I had escaped the corrosion issue too

Well I've answered my own question now. Having just received my F15 what a big difference 
The interior is so much better as in my option as better styling and comfort. There seems also to be more room in the cabin than the 3 previous E70s. Very pleased with drive and handling and especially the overall finish on the F15. Roll on this weekend for more X5 drive time
