Can I fit a square setupon to staggered wheels.

I got around the star marked tyre situation by buying a new set of medium rated tyres. £90 each. The same make and size and fitting them on my staggered wheels, as there is only 13 mm difference in the wheel widths
255/40/19 all round.
So a cheaper alternative to star marked tyres.
