E53 seat controller playing up. Can relays be replaced?

Post by Jowniofownio212 » Sat Feb 25, 2017 8:47 pm

Hi there

The seat controller seems to be playing up. None of the functions work and if anything it moves a little bit but not as it should. I have removed and want to know if I can just replace the relays on the board or is the board u/s and just needs to be replaced? Anyone done it?

Thanks

Been there, you need to replace the seat module, if it does anything then that suggests it's got power going to it so it's the circuit board. I suppose if you are an electrical guru/genius it may be fixable. Not aware of any where that repairs them, perhaps someone  does. I think most people go to scrappy or buy new. Have you had a diagnostics done, normally gives a code if it's broken.
