What was the age and mileage of your 35d and what did they give you for it? I'm interested to compare it to some of the derisory offers I've had recently.

E70 was a December 2008 with 81k miles.
They offered £11k initially but then came up to £12k ish. They also threw in a deal on GAP insurance and the Autoglym protection.

To be honest, I knew I would possibly get £15 private but last week the rear of the car filled up with rain water again and then the power steering pump started to sound like a bag of nails.
I decided to move it on before it cost me more.
The inside has been flooded a few times due to panoramic roof and rear doors. I was getting nervous about electrical faults.

I also put a new £125 battery in a couple of weeks ago (which is now in my Land Rover)

Can anybody help with the following:

When I stop the engine and get out of the car, the ignition stays on. The radio and dashboard stay on till I lock the car. Is this normal?
If I don't lock the car, everything stays on.

With saving music to the hard drive, can I copy it from my iTunes to a USB then plug in to the car?

Lovely car, looks a lot like my 30d sport in space grey, but i love the black grille.

Radio and dash staying on is normal. If you want it off quicker press the start stop again without your foot on the brake.

You can copy your owned music onto a USB and load up to the car but i dont think it will play music you purchased from the iTunes Store. EDIT: I've read a post on bummer forum that says iTunes purchased music worked fine] If you have music in iTunes that youve ripped from CDs then that'll play no prob.

Enjoy.

It'll be allright in the end. If it isn't allright it isn't the end

Hi

Congrats on the new car and it sounded like time to trade in you old one and all you have to say is your dogs, which look like they enjoyed the walk, do deserve a nice reliable car to travel in  :))
