I got mine done under warranty so didnt order the part.

I did however tell the dealer which part it was & it was part number 51248408859. M yprior past had a figure discrepancy ( a bit like me at times), so now edited.

The caps can't be sourced seperately if you get the part it includes pad surfaces x 2 and the 2 plastic covers/caps all in one section.

If local to me or likely to be so I am happy to fit this as such an easy task not beyond my capabilities & I prior stripped mine down to examine.

Great!!  Was hoping it would work for someone else to prove it was the cause.  Glad I could return the favour of all the info you gave me. <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

I have a rattle on mine but when I try to check for any movement in the tailgate area there doesn't seem to be any. Could this still be the same thing ?

Mine is doing my head in..... put new bump stops on, put some foam blocks on the outer edges, also put some inside the lower latch in case the two pads in there had worn. Pulled everything out of the boot, all secure in there too. Nada, no improvement. .... I gonna go mad soon :fuelfire: :chop:
