Good effort.
However I found an easier way thats still holding up 18 months later.
Use compressed air.............disconnect a washer hose and " back wash " air into the washer bottle to clear the blockage.
Then use really hot water and run it through several times. The hot water seems to do the trick. I used boiling water.
Worked a treat.

Tried it.
Didn't work. The gunk was so bad it didn't disolve and couldn't go anywhere so just got sucked back up again.

When I worked on Autoclaves, we used to come across this problem on the small counter top units , they used to get a bacterial grunge build up in the water tanks. We used to add bleach and that used to break down the gunge
Maybe worth trying that first.

When I worked on Autoclaves, we used to come across this problem on the small counter top units , they used to get a bacterial grunge build up in the water tanks. We used to add bleach and that used to break down the gunge

I thought about it but was concerned the bleach might damage the pumps and/or pipes.
Not to mention I really didn't want bleach squirting out all over my car.

I thought about it but was concerned the bleach might damage the pumps and/or pipes.
Not to mention I really didn't want bleach squirting out all over my car.

You are (or should) only use a very low % of bleach in the mix. About 5% max I think, and wash it off immediately or mask the jets so it stays off the paint - such as aiming into a bottle.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
