Iphone 6 S not pairing with Car

I have a 2015 X5 30d Msport.  Until I updated my Iphone 6S to IOS 10 I had no problems pairing my phone to the car.  Since them I have had problems with the phone dropping out, poor transmission.  In addition, when I disconnect a call, the phone un pairs itself.  I have upgraded to the latest 10.2 but this does not seem to have fixed the problem.  Any ideas?  The car software says it is the latest version.

Have you tried pairing a different phone -any other model or even a different iphone 6 /6s to get an idea if its the BT unit or the partocular phone that is a problem?

Should work fine.  Have a look in the BMW Owners area on the BMW website for on-board updates.  If it hasn't been near a main dealer you may be missing updates to the car.  You can do some yourself via the USB port in the passenger glovebox.

Thanks for the advice.  I have checked the on board software and it is up to date according to the latest version available from BMW website.  Also tried to update and it tells me it is already up to date.  Since upgrading to IOS 10.2 all other bluetooth issues with other devices seem to be sorted except this one.

Well, you could isolate the problem if you were able to try a different iphone 6s, with the same ios update, just to see if there is some issue with the phone or if the BT module is doing it with other phones as well.

If all else fails, try deleting the pairing and redoing it.  I did it a year or so back and have fewer disconnects since.
