X5 seat upgrade

Hi and welcome to you all
I have recently bought an X5 E70 having had lots of beemers  owned a 735, 840, 525, 520 320, so like the brand.
just a question my X5 is a 5 seater is it easy to get the other 2 rear seats from e-bay or elsewhere and bolt them in place with the floor bits so that its then a 7 seater or is it more complicated.
any info would be appreciated

Don't want to start WWIII but I was led to believe that it can be done relatively easily . I may be wrong............but I tell you who would know..............

It can be done, but your payload limits and possibly any towing capacity also get affected by the new 'loads' over the rear axle area.  You need to declare the car as a 7-seater to your insurer.
