locked while running

Morning all  my Mrs went out the front door saying  im going to start the tiguan  let it warm before i go to work !    i said you cant do that someone will hop in and drive off  oh no they wont she said i shall lock it with the spare remote/key !!!!!!!! , i stopped her    i said i dont know about that but i will find out ,

anyone any idea  can you do this ,  Colin ..

You certainly can't with my Škoda Superb 3.  You can lock it from inside, but not with another key whilst it is running.  It has keyless entry/ignition (KESSY) though, not sure if that makes a difference?  It detects if there is a key in the car and won't allow another key, or use of the touch lock system to lock the car if that is the case.

I get round it in my X5 by locking car with the button inside while engine is running, opening drivers door with handle, and then locking with key.

All doors then locked.

nice one  didnt think of that    ,  just ran out and looked at the Tiguan and it has no keyholes anywhere

at last i went out and tried it with spare remote  and  no it wont work , so a remote start setup needed !
