Can I remove my dpf without having a ecu delete or re-map ? I'm getting the P14A7 code and ive lost a fair amount of power. Thanks in advance. My car is a 2007 M Sport X3 2.0 diesel 150hp.

You can, but your vehicle is then uninsured as it is no longer compliant with its type approval and therefore illegally on the road. You also cannot sell it without either putting the DPF back, or advising a buyer that it cannot legally be used on a Public Road.
You may get past an MOT (for now), but that does not cover everything else. The key regulations come under the EC Type Approval and Emissions Regulations, and it is an offence under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations to use a vehicle that has been modified in such a way that it no longer complies with the air pollutant emissions standards it was designed to meet.
Also, given removing the DPF is a mod then you are also required to tell your insurers and as a DPF is a legal requirement, you know what their reaction will likely be...
Those who advocate DPF removal clearly do not understand the risks they take or encourage others to take, or choose to ignore them. It is very simple. Removing a DPF from a vehicle fitted with one at new by the manufacturer makes the car illegal to use on the Public Highway. You can submit the car for the DVSA 'Single Vehicle Approval', but it will fail without a DPF fitted and working. If something goes wrong and a DVSA or Police Vehicle Examiner gets involved you will very likely get the book thrown at you. You might even lose the car permanently. How many points do you want?

I wouldn't remove your DPF, as X5Sport says it WILL be cause you problems soon.
You haven't said what mileage you have? how long you've had it? Service history etc?
My point is have you checked it is reaching 85c+, if not your DPF won't regenerate. Are all your glow plugs working?
Have you tried a DPF cleaning fluid?
