3.0d cracked manifold

I know they used to sell a normal one and an activated carbon one, can't access the link as it's asking for a Reg number and mine had my plate on it and can't remember the original reg.
Someone on here will know.

I think they are both carbon ones. It's the difference in size, one is quite large and one is about half the size

No. E70 and newer have an internal filter too.

Smoke under the bonnet... You having a laugh.... really ? ....

I see it billowing out of the wheel arches when she starts on a cold morning.....
And re... a sunny day.... I think there was one at some point last June, or was that a dream I had...

I will live in hope of the elusive sunny day, and hope it comes before I dies of exhaust poisoning..

I used to be a forklift engineer and witnessed several ''runaways'', very frightening and I also did a runaway as fast as I could!!

right guys i need your help again...........

i have the manifold that came from ebay, it includes 3 manifold to head-gaskets, 1 manifold to turbo gasket,3 bolts, 12 x stud and nut

this is the kit

i have rang my local garage who i have always used and she told me i need a manifold to dpf gasket aswell.

she originally rang bmw to get prices on parts for me and thats what they told her i needed.

i thought as its a 2004 model that i wouldnt have a dpf?

any ideas?

E53 didn't come with DPF in the UK. The E70 did , so she's obviously getting confused with the E70

she is just going off what bmw quoted to her, she gave them my reg details/model etc

There's a catalytic converter, but definitely no DPF - although you could specify one and BMW do now offer one as a retrofit.
