X6 help - 4 seats v 5 seats

Hi folks

Were 5 seats an option across the board or did they become standard fit at some point in the model range?

Anybody also have a PDF which highlights the different MY changes/options available?

I am not the expert on these probably X5Sport is best to answer but from what I know I'm pretty sure they were originally when introduced all 4 seaters.

I believe that you could get a conversion kit for them as well.

However iirc it was only from a certain point on from a quick check the info I found it seems to be was from 2011 when the notes said it was an option to be a 5 seater.

But wait for X5Sport as he will know for sure and probably the production it changed etc.

4-seat was the only option until early in 2011 when BMW started making the 5-seater.  There is/was an unofficial kit to make the 4-seater into a 5 but it wasn't really worth it and was just a pad covering the centre storage console.  I don't think it added a 5th seatbelt either, or if it did it was only a lap-belt rather than a 3-point.

When I ordered mine in late summer 2010 there was no option of a conversion kit either.
