BMW Scanner 1.4.0 Headlight options

Post by x5e53 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 10:00 am

Hi,
few questions here.

A)
What is the difference between the following settings available in BMW Scanner 1.4.0:
1. Headlight Vertical Aim Control
2. Automatic
3. Dynamic

4. Xenon Lights Ignition
5. Bi-Xenon (Mine are Bixenons, so I am assuming this should be the only one out of this section which should enabled)

6. Xenon with Automatic HVAC
7. Xenon with Automatic AHL

B)
Also, Is the only way to reset the airbag light (there is no fault with the airbag) to take it to the dealers or can the BMW SCanner 1.4.0 do this?

C)
Is there a way to set it so that when I lock the car, the wing mirrors auto fold? And unfold when I unlock the car?

D)
My car comes with a Pan_Roof. However the following options were not enabled in the ZKE:
8. Sunroof
9. Sunroof Module
Should they be enabled?
What is the 'Switch-Block Module'?

HVAC is the beam height adjustment.
Automatic will be if you have auto light option on the car
Dynamic will be if you have cornering/adaptive headlight option on the car.

E53 fitted with Xenon are bi-xenon.  There is a mechanical shutter that controls the beam on low and moves out of the way on high beam.

Xenon with HVAC is what you should have for UK cars - hence no thumbwheel on the lighting panel.

Dunno what 7 is, sorry.

B - pass.  Try it.

C - I thought there was.

D - pass.
