X5 virgin saying Hi! :D

Post by Martin H » Sun Dec 11, 2016 9:37 am

Greetings all. After a succession of 5 Series saloons, and tourers E34's E39's petrol and diesel, inter-spaced with a flirtation with a couple of P38 Range rovers, I've taken the plunge and got myself an X5. An E53 3.0d Sport to be precise. well specced and with low miles + FSH (Not sure that means a great deal nowadays?)
Oh, and those 22" Khan's have to go!  ::)

No doubt I shall be asking a myriad of questions, having tried to find the answers elsewhere on the forum first of course. Anyhow, off for a gander at some of the threads on here.

Cheers for now.
Mart.  :)

Hi and welcome to the forum

Congratulations on your X5, service history is good to have on one of theses as it shows it's been maintained, as some, like all cars, have been neglected.

Re the alloys, have a look in the buy and sell section as various sets up for sale the original car would have come with 19" or poss 18" the 4.6 pr 4.8 had 20" wheels

Have to agree about the wheels.
I am new to the x5 and when looking for one it was the wheels that put me off on many.
Got mine last Thursday(8th Dec) and it comes with the standard 19" tiger claw(i think that is the name).
