2007 E70 Rear brake pad life

I'd be more worried why one side had worn much more than the other side - tracking?  ???

An interesting point - I had the tracking checked earlier this year - front OK, rear needed some adjustment and much more even wear on the rear tyres noted now. New rear pads have been in since Easter and when serviced a couple of weeks ago no discernable difference in wear between inside and outside pads. Looks like uneven wear on the fronts may be due to another cause but I'll ask the Indy specialist who looks after it for me what he thinks...  when I see him next!

All that I can think of is piston position is known accurately and that gives the expected 'life'.  Purely a guess though  :noexpression:
