Has anyone ever thought about creating a new earth connection for the battery somewhere more accessible In the boot?
As our beloved cars seem to need a reboot 'occasionally' it would save a lot of effort.
Any thoughts?

Re: New battery earth
They did. You wrote them so they aren't 'new' on your system.
What's wrong with the standard chassis point? I 'rebooted' mine twice in 6 years and my X6 is the same. If you need to do it more often then you have a problem in the system.

Re: New battery earth
Thanks for the info on my posts.
Regarding the earth point, I'm having the front screen 4:3 ratio issue, combined with not picking up any TV channels. Did a reboot last weekend and all worked ok. I suspect the TV module but trying to prove it. I also seem to have a lot of stuff in my boot that I don't really need to have there, could probably eke out an extra 1 mpg if I took it all out!

Re: New battery earth
With a 'little man' as a passenger my boot seems to have gone from empty to occupied with all sorts of odd stuff too.

Wellies, mine and hers, coats, in case it rains (they were there all summer), an empty backpack, large umbrella (always 'still' in the car when the rain starts!), and some ropes, just in case, 'just in case what' as my better half asks. I'm not even going to start about the side stowage lol.
