Carly app.???

Post by Nine468 » Mon Oct 10, 2016 2:04 pm

Ok so im just looking into getting this Carly app so i can monitor stuff on my e70.
Ive heard lots of people talk about it.
Just wanted to ask the masses what the general concensus was about the ease of use this app is.
Ill be connecting it to a Android Samsung Galaxy S4 mini phone, that will be specificaly for use with the car.

Can it be used to do forced regens on the dpf.?
Im guessing it shows real time dpf stats, such as temp, soot levels, regen status, etc etc,,, ie when next regen is due and time since last regen...

Up till recently ive been using the c110 scanner, but that is pretty basic, and im after something a little more informative.

Thanks in advance...

Or used the DPF option myself as I've got a petrol car now, but as for ease of use I can't fault the Carly app.
I have done a bit of coding too which was so easy too.
Look on the Carly web site to see what's available for the E70

Hi.  Yes seems to work well.  Although I do find it slow at times and drops the connection.
I'm galaxy Note4 and carly obd adapter.
I believe forced regen is possible but only after a further payment on top of the dongle and app costs. It soon adds up.
Highly useful data though.

Today is my first time using the online carly support so will reserve judgement until they reply.

I'd say go for it and log away.

Forgot to say I'm in North west area.  Happy to let you play with my version to try it out if you are local.  There is a free version too
