engine warning light

Post by lezmtaylor » Fri Oct 07, 2016 1:35 pm

Hi there,
Have the engine warning light displayed, read the codes and got : P0030, Bank1, Sen1, Htr circuit, H025.
I can erase the warning light with my  reader, sometimes it comes back on immediately, other times it stays off for a week or so.
I have lpg and wonder if the warning is anything to do with the mixture settings via lpg.

Regards,
Lez

I think it's referring to the O2 ( Lamba sensor ) it has a heater element built in to the sensor to give an accurate reading when the car is cold I think.
There will be a lamba sensor fitted into each exhaust pipe just. Before the Cat, usually under the foot front footwell. This could be a wiring fault/ bad connection.
I changed mine on my 840 Ci when I had a missfire fault on the left bank, they screw into the exhaust pipe and have a connector multi plug within 6" of the sensor ( sensor has a fly lead and a plug on it )
Maybe worth unplugging and cleaning with contact cleaner as it lives under the car in all the spray and crap.

Easy job to do Les you have lambda sensors before and after the cat on each bank. Bank 1 drivers side the one you want it's before the cat, drive up on ramps find the sensor (tilted slightly inwards towards the engine) follow the wire and unplug it 22mm ring spanner over the lead and undo and replace. 10 minutes including driving onto the ramps.

Greydog/ Horizon,
many thanks for the info, will be having a go in the next couple of days, I bet I dislodged something when I took the starter motor off 6 weeks ago.
This fault reared its head after the starter job.
