Wanted x5 E53 manual books / head unit

Hi am looking to buy CD player genuine BMW for my x5 or any other CD player recommended ?? And any x5 e53 manuals?  Wanted clean X5 badge and 3.0 side badge?

A little more info on the CD player will be required.
Is it a facelift E53, is it a multi changer your after ?
Have you got a single slot CD already or factory sat nav.
Or have you got a cassette player. Etc

Hi I don't have no system in the car atall, since it was an ex police car I've been told there have changed the wiring system? So normal CD player will not fit please if anyone could guide me here do I need to re- wire ?

The big plug looks like a quadlock for the radio / tape player, and the smaller white plug looks like the connection to the MID ( multi information display.
In the hole in the dash  does it have a shelf like partition about half way up the opening or is it a large single opening?
Mine was a face lift so they have a different quadlock for the C/D player, I'm not 100% sure, but the preface lift came with a tape player instead.
If the shelf has been removed maybe an aftermarket Chinese headunit was retro fitted and someone has removed it before the sale.
When you get the after market headunit it comes with a quadlock converter loom to suit  oath pre and facelift cars.
Also look in the boot at the side of the battery to see if you have a BM54 radio module, which were fitted in OEM satnav X5's

I thought all E53's had tape head units?  I know my 2005 version was tape up front and CD down aft.  Even our later E46 got a MiniDisc (remember them?) head unit!

This is my old single slot CD player from my 55 plate X5, I fitted an after market satnav and put the mid in the glovebox,

As it's out of a facelift it's got the 16 pin quadlock, the CD player incorporates the radio module

Sorry was thinking Mk4 Nav equipped which were tape only up front (behind the screen).  Forgot about the Business System cars  :-[

Some business systems had cassette there instead of CD
(Mine did)

Also I believe a minidisc player was available too.

I have a full set of Books in their Leather Wallet that were for my 4.4 (2002) before it's demise all I need to do is dig them out.
Plus somewhere in the depths of the garage there are some Quadlock to Din connectors that came with the Xtrons unit I fitted to the 4.4

Let me know if I need to go on a treasure hunt
