There are a few inexpensive sets for E53s on ebay at the moment - if your car can take the 17" wheels, there is a set for under £300.    (The 4.6 and 4.8 need 18" to clear the brakes but the diesel models can all use "17" winter wheels)

Fully loaded but Now semi-retired! 

X5 2012 Alpine White 40d MSport 21" style 215 black alloys, rear entertainment, media package, comfort seats and a load of other options.
