CTEK connection

Post by CondorX5 » Sat Aug 20, 2016 6:01 pm

I am going to need to keep the old 4.8is on a CTEK maintenance charger - where is the best place to attach a permanent CTEK lead?    Jump point and earth under front bonnet?

I've attached mine to the battery and chased through to the rear side. Must admit that this is the best thing I've bought, it's a life saverImage

I stick mine on the CTEK once a month and use the crocodile clips that came with the kit and use the main power lead connection and earth under the bonnet. I  suppose it would be easy enough to hard wire a neat  connection.

Mine is to the jump points under the bonnet (same on all our cars).  That way I can trail the charger lead out from under the 'hood' and keep the car securely locked  :)

I use this kit....from that river supplier....CTEK eyelet connector.  I also use a couple of 2.5m extensions if the need arises - keeps the charger in the dry.

CTEKs are brilliant, have saved many a battery from early death on our cars........
Will hook up a connector permanently again - thanks for the ideas
