There are many aftermarket threshold strips for sale, but these look like BMW parts? Anyone have an idea why they're on some cars, and where to buy?

I've noticed a many of the video review cars have two metal strips just inside the rear hatch, as under...
There are many aftermarket threshold strips for sale, but these look like BMW parts? Anyone have an idea why they're on some cars, and where to buy?

They should be genuine accessory parts. Different trim levels may get them as standard.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.-

Collected car today, and it has the strips!!
I'm impressed with the drive and handling. My own car is a Cayman 981 but the X1 is quite a fun drive too, quite flat around the bends (sports seats are great) and a good turn of speed (keeping the revs down whilst running in).
Yes, I can see we're going to like this car a lot.
