Wing mirror goes down when car is put in reverse gear

Hi all,

Is there a way I can stop the passenger wing mirror from dropping down when I reverse the car?

It's so annoying, all I can see is the kerb !

Goodmorning , the slide switch you use when ajusting left or right mirrors  keep it a the right side

That reminded me of when I bought my X5 and put in in reverse to see the side mirror dip down.

I quickly got out of the car rushing to the other side to catch the mirror.

sometimes its a good thing in tight space with high kerbs ,    its just a matter of thinking in advance if you need mirror up or down before you select R ..

I thought there was a way of setting just how far down it dipped too?  I know mine was adjusted because it was too far down but I can't remember if it was something I was able to do, or the Dealer could do it.

setting might be something to do with seat memory , ajust where you want the mirror then do the memory thing , what you think ??
