I am thinking about selling my X5 and would really appreciate some advice please

Hi

I am thinking about selling my X5 and would really appreciate some advice please!

1. The mileage is 98k. Am I right in thinking that if I am to sell I should do it before I reach 100k?
2. What do you think the car is worth if I sold it maybe next month (please see below for all the information). Mileage will still be 98k.
3. If I kept it for a few months longer in to 2017 and it was over 100k what would it worth then?
4. I am thinking about a 7-Series. Now the children can do up their seat belts on their own (I no longer have to reach in and bend down) I am thinking a regular car will be more comfortable. I would like a model that has a suspension upgrade for more comfort. There are so many names, does anyone know what is might be called? Is it Active Suspension/Adaptive Drive or something?

Thanks for the help and advice!

Sally

Car Details

3.0 Diesel Sport Estate
Registered Dec-2005
I bought it Sept-2012 as an AUC from BMW Dealership
Full BMW Service History
Automatic
98k miles
3 former owners
19" with Michelin Latitude Diamaris

Sterling grey
Full black nappa leather upgrade with silver trim (no wood)
Heated front seats and heated steering wheel
Heated automatic folding mirrors
Panoramic sun roof
Auto lights and wipers
Xenon lights
BMW aluminum running boards
SAT NAV
Bluetooth
CD Autochanger
Privacy glass at the back
Aircon

I also have the official BMW (Mondial) Comprehensive Warranty which I pay by direct debit. I bought this when the AUC warranty ran out. I am guessing this is attractive to a buyer? I think I pay £70 a month and this includes their Breakdown Assist cover.

Take a look on Autotrader. Find other similar cars to yours and price it accordingly. If you believe your car has something that would make it slightly more attractive to a buyer, try adding on a few quid.

Oh - and don't advertise it for less than mine (see below) - your not the only person trying to sell around here, you know!!!

ps - good luck if you do decide to advertise it.

How did you get on? Was Autotrader the best place to sell? Cheers, David
