Your bm54 unit by the battery is knackered and probably needs repair. Google it and you will find out more info.

BM54 is the radio unit itself.  You might also have a fault on the aerial diversity system which amplifies radio/TV signals.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Have you got factory fitted Sat nav, or the single slot business cd with the MID unit underneath. If it's the single slot business unit the radio module is built in to the CD player, not in the boot.

I don't have sat mav. Just the cd under the flap and radio seperate. I fancy a Bluetooth head unit anyway. Are they hard to fit halfrauds wasn't too sure when they looked. They seem to be doing a good deal on a head unit with facia

I had the same setup as you, I fitted a Dynavin satnav/ Bluetooth unit, had to hack the dash out to fit it in , so no going back. Still got the CD unit from mine if you decide to keep it OEM.
Maybe fit a parrot Bluetooth /streeming kit. Most of the Chinese units have crap Bluetooth and radio reception and require the dash hacking oit.

Cheers mate
Iv gone for the Sony head unit now. Works well but not prefect radio reception. But think I can live with it now I can play music off my phone. It's better but not fixed it completely
