X5 e70 Towing

I've been towing with my 40d for the last 18 months, fitted with a Westfalia towbar from PF Jones, but no fan upgrade. I've not had any bother with it, and it's been all over the UK and across to Spa in Belgium. I'm not sure about those who've experienced the fan turning off - from memory mine stays on when needed, and was blowing away when parked up at the services returning from Cadwell Park last weekend.

Just done 1200 miles to the south of France in a 13 Reg 30d towing twin axle caravan loaded too the guns stopped every 400 miles with no issues doing approx 24 too the gallon lol

Great to hear, we are going on Thursday, travellng to Hull, cross to Zeebrugge and then tow down to Alsace for a few days. Travel to Saint Etienne for a week or so and then up to Paris for a few days. Glad to hear that a few on here have had no issues towing in hot climates.
