E70 auto start/stop function

Can anyone tell me when stop start was introduced to the E70 model?

Not aware it was ever.

Apologies i have been looking at e70 ads on autotrader and they are advertised with start/stop.  Its the F15 with auto s/s function. Doh!

Ive seen that on autotrader too, and i thought 2012 onwards was when the updated facelift versions came with stop / start

Same here, and I have the lci version of the e70 and it does not have start stop.

It's got a button marked Start/Stop.....but that isn't the same thing and my guess is dealers getting confused between start/stop and 'automatic start/stop' perhaps?

Thats correct. F models have start/stop (engine off mode to save fuel), E model has the button in place of ignition switch.
