USA mods on British/euro X5's

Hi all, I'm in the process of buying an X5 3.0D, 56 plate, I have stumbled across 'spyder' an American 'modification' website, and on there they have L.E.D rear lights for an x5, I emailed them and they said it wouldn't fit/work, is he right or just no understanding of the euro/USDM market? Even though the body/vehicle is the same, obviously front lights would be aimed wrong

US models use a different wiring config but I'm sure that is more than likely just a coding issue rather than anything else.

Wouldn't it be a case of cutting the connectors and soldering 'british' plugs on if you knew the wiring layout

I have LED tails

And I've got a Right hand drive Euro e53 (diesel) almost the same as was available in the MotherLand...
