That new bit is always deserted and being new, very tempting.

When I come back from Eastbourne, that is always the bit where I stretch my legs ...

I got an SP60 about 8 years ago... I thought the numbers had something to do with the speed limit on the road you exceeded.

SP30 is standard for a 30 zone etc..

Gutted for you mate, I hated calling the insurers when getting a new car and then they ask the question... i'd love to see some stats on the % of drivers who now drive with points to say that of 10 years ago before all the Gatso's etc..

Which is quite possibly why an increasing number of insurers are not interested unless you have 6 now. Mine weren't bothered at all and told me they only load up if you get 6 or more.

9 Points in one envelope...... 3 different tickets all in the same envelope.

When i opened and read the tickets I thought hey had made a mistake and sent me the same ticket three times. Three different tickes on three different days all by the same camera :(

I used to work nights in New Covent Garden fruit markets and used to use the M3 as my route in..... to cut a long story short, the cameras that I had been passing for two years were turned on for three days out of 712.... i was lucky that they were only on for the three days, although it did feel a little harsh at the time. They are those stupid average speed cameras that judge your speed on the time taken to travel between two points. It was always between 3-4 am and the motorway was clear..... always. I was caught averaging between 54 and 56 on all tickets with the speed limit being 50. After a moan I was told that one more M.P.H on the 56 ticket and I would have had to attend court and taken 6 points.... Nice.

Speeding is not acceptable, although on a empty motorway with no traffic I honestly didn't feel I was speeding...... The 50 limit could be there for a number of reasons such as work men in the road etc. This time however it was to slow the traffic joining from the M25 which during its busiest time is stationary or at a snails pace anyhow.

Rant over and bring on 2years time when the points have disappeared...... Revenue?? "No way" I was told it is all about safety :D

Sorry to hear that 535dboy. Without that 'extra protection' fitted that automatically opens your garage door it's almost always too late to back off anyway. Do not know if you are aware of http://www.pepipoo.com/... helpful in answering any questions you may have.

Recently sold my Road Angel Professional Connected due to it's appalling battery life and opted for the new Pogo Alert+. Finally an Apple compatible detector. Very happy with it... tiny!
