239 Wheels

Post by lukasm3 » Sun Mar 27, 2016 10:51 pm

Hi guys i was wondering how much more will change on fuel if i change my 19 wheels to 21 size wheels  tyres are 325 20 21 !! are they not to big foe x5 30d ? also anyone had them painted maybe in ferric grey ? i was thinking to spray them in that colour. also another question if i like to drop the car a bit (not a Advaned Drive mode)only the front springs is the rear could be drop when plug in or its level him self when we drop the front ?
thanks Lukas

The biggest worry is the extra load on the suspension as the 21" plus tyres weigh a lot more than the 19" , do you have the extended arches as on the M sport as again if lower speced it will not pass an MoT as the wheels will stick out past the rear arch .
Regarding the colour ferric Grey is an awesome colour go for it .
dropping an X5 ? the tyre wall difference will feel like the car has been dropped anyway as the usual tyres are 255/50/19 front to 285/35/21 15mm less , rears 285/45/19 to 325/30/21 15mm less . only thing to watch out for are a set of these cost £1500 and availability aswell as other tyre manufacturers doing them is very limited so all will be costly !

looks great ! you can get rim protectors that are plastic beads that fit between the tyre & the alloy wheel gives a bit more kerbing protection for about £40 might be worth the outlay .
Pleased you went with the ferric grey it is the best colour for those wheels .
