Hi all, a  long time since i posted here, but does anyone have a diy for removal of the air filter with pics for the facelift 3.0d? mines  a nov 2004 model.....and also feedback of those who have used the K&N filter instead of the stock one would be much appreciated....

ps I searched the forum but cant seem to find the diy for the facelift...and considering the dust we get out here its time to change it out

ive never found the need to remove the washer bottle as in the video. but removing the pollen filter housing is a must to get to the rearmost bolt on the filter housing.

I pit the K&N filter on mine... same year & build time as yours...
it made a small difference to mpg but coupled with the EGR removal was notable.
she definately breathes better & is a tad more responsive.... and i never have to buy another filter again lol.

Accessing the damned thing & getting the filter cover of is a nightmare..
But I just read above that the bulkhead/pollen filter panel can come off... this would certainly help... as its a balls ache to remove otherwise....
