Hey
I am new to this forum so am looking for some help.
Today I fitted a reverse camera to the BMW one for which I had to remove the rear number plate lamp which I done and wired the new light and camera all in and all works fine but now I have a message come up saying I have a plate light out is there a way of getting rid of this?

Is the new bulb an LED? If so it won't be pulling enough current for the car to detect, it then throws an error. If it is an LED, you need to get a CANBUS error free version (cheap enough on eBay). If it isn't, I've no idea.

Unfortunately I can't find a canbus one.

I have read somewhere that the 1.4.0 software can turn off this light is that true?

Yes you can turn off the numberplate bulb check with the BMW Scanner 1.4, I've done mine.

that looks like the same camera i installed.
i fitted mine next to the number plate light so didnt need to recode the car.

Does this come up on the sat nav screen when you select reverse? also how is it wired in?
