fixed towbar

Post by nm24 » Tue May 17, 2016 11:57 pm

hello,
Thinking of fitting a non detachable towbar to my 2007 X3 and was wondering if it will trigger the rear parking sensors?

Mine is supposed to turn off rear sensors when trailer/bikerack etc is connected but I must of missed a wire as mine doesn't.

Not sure about the X3, but the X5 needed the trailer module as well.  Maybe that controls the rear PDC & Fog light when a trailer is connected?  I know in the E53 it also changes the operation of the DSC.
