Just outta curiousity how much does it cost for a remap and are they worth getting them done?
[/quote]

When I had mine done (3.0d Sport), it cost me circa £160, and it made a big difference, ironed out the lag and improved the mpg. I would 100% recommend having it done by a pro, and not to get one of the plug n play jobbies!
2006 BMW E53 Titanium Silver (Facelift)

LED Angel Eyes
LED Reverse Lights
B-Pillars Wrapped in Carbon Black
Rear Wiper E70 Conversion
Winter Wheels (18" 255/55).

------ To Do ------
CREE Driving light set.
Steering wheel to be Carbon Wrapped.
Running Boards to be polished.

Thanks Richard, I am hoping to go to the meet next weekend in Hayes and read that Jason does remaps so was wondering if it's worth getting him to do mine, but I went to hospital last week in pain and found out I have kidney stones so not 100% if I can make it yet

I've heard Jason is very good.
Kidney Stones, ouch! I've been having them since I was 19, and classed as a 'former' as I need to keep going back every 5-7 years for lithotripsy. Good luck.

Yes, my first experience with Jason last month was very good. Attention to detail and he didn't just flash my X5 with a default map, he drove my car, pulled my software, analyzed it, applied a modified map and then drove the car afterwards to ensure that there was an improvement. He only has a 2 wheel drive rolling road (dyno) so he needed to give it a drive.

I can certainly feel the improvement in torque delivery and it feel approx 20-30% stronger. Lumpy lag has been reduced at pull off and acceleration on/off too.

I've owned an E53 30d back in South Africa where I had it mapped by a good friend (he mapped many of my BMWs). Jason's service, attention to detail and end product delivered was comparable and I am very happy with the end result.

PM Jason (jason@bwchiptune) directly on this forum or give him a call, he'd prefer to discuss costs with you directly.

(BTW: I met Jason for the first time last month and I have zero shares in his business so this is purely a personal recommendation and not a business punt)

Jason wants numbers - wants to know how much BBQ food to buy.

If he can't get numbers  within 48hrs he may not wish to host. Gumball Rally plans afoot otherwise....

He was going to post himself and still may do.

Gone through this thread, is my list correct? 12 confirmed, 5 possibles and 3 unknowns.
