LED front indicators

Post by richbmw » Wed Apr 06, 2016 4:56 pm

Just ordered an X5 with standard Xenons, and noticed it comes with orange indicator bulbs. Bloody BMW with their half bulb, half LED setup!

I could have got the LED headlights, with the LED indicator strips, but didn't, as I'm tight! :))

Has anyone changed the indicator bulbs to LED's, if so where did you get them, and how easy are they to install?

Now ordered the ones from Bimmian, as I’m in the US for Christmas. Are they easy to fit?

Fitted these yesterday. A huge improvement, and no error codes on the dash.

These ones WTSAAAPA2

It did say for cars with halogen headlights, but as all of the current X5’s have Xenon, I figured it was a typo.

Excuse my ignorance, but what improvement do these provide? Are they brighter/sharper than the standard ones?

Yep, brighter and sharper. And they look awesome. Plus, they’re the only traditional bulbs on the whole car, so needed changing!

Thanks, given the problem you've got currently perhaps not a typo, hope you get it sorted
