Blue Angel Eye Markers

Post by mikey82 » Wed Apr 13, 2016 8:33 am

Hi guys,

Swapped the stock markers for some Blue Angel Eye ones from Xenonbulbs (Ultra-hids on ebay) and I must say they are fantastic!

Problem free and super bright. Only fitted last night so will take a day pic later on but really impressed and works well with the Le Mans Blue.  Great swift delivery and great price

Were these a direct swap for the angel eyes or did you have to do a bit of faffing about. I have the LED upgrade which looks nice at night but nowhere near as bright as yours? Have you got a link?

@grumpywurzel

Direct bulb swap - took minutes.

I was really impressed with the brightness of them to be honest.  the item number on ebay is: 291359472550

I wanted blue to match however I didn't expect that level of brightness due to them being listed as 5w but super happy with how they look.

No errors other than when turning ignition on they will flicker for a second or so then are fine.

Agreed - blue is only legal if you're an emergency services vehicle. Very pretty though.

Same around here!  Along with a defect notice or threat to seize and destroy if not corrected.  I think they even offer extra Bingo bonus points and money vouchers in their favour too.

The rules are clear, these are sidelights and must only be white.  Mind you what the chances are of seeing plod on the road are these days probably mean no one will ever notice  ::)

Morning guys,

Thanks for the feedback.  I will invest in some white markers as I cant be bothered with the rozzers.  To be honest I didn't expect the light to be so blue I thought more of a xenon blue tint however after looking again last night - they Blue alright!

May keep them for off road or if anyone would like to give them a good home drop me a line and will do a cheap price or trade.  ;)

Coincidentally I was followed by an old 3-series on the way home tonight. He'd fitted blue angel eyes and I thought, "Make the best of it mate - it's only a matter of time." Problem is, if you're stopped by a copper with nothing better to do, he'll be likely to find other things wrong with your car too. Very depressing and best avoided.
