Idrive LCD Gone Dim

Post by x5e70d » Wed Mar 23, 2016 6:31 pm

Hi guys, Quick question My Idrive works perfectly fine however its no longer bright as it was and I have to shine some light to the screen in order to see the menu etc..

i have read up on a few posts about weak battery causing such an issue which I know my car has a weak battery as I hardly use the car but i have put it on a battery charger and full charged the battery but still the light on the screen isnt working.

Any advice on whats happened with it guys?

thanks

You could try an IDrive reset. Pressing the DVD eject along with the CD eject and the volume button simultaneously.
I guess you've been in the settings menu and turned up the brightness to full ?
Also a few reports of faulty screens.

Yes, tried the reset but that didn't help. Brightness is fine in the menu.

Puzzling as it works fine just the light is dim.

Read on here possibly battery low could cause this - anyone else had this issue?
