Anyone replaced Blower Unit and Blower Regulator ( noises from fan)

I've been told my pulsating noise is due to the blower regulator item 5
And I've started to get a high pitch squeal when braking at times which I've been told is due the blower fan bearing gone and rubs against fixings due to angle, which is the blower unit item 4

Does it matter which part number is chosen or is it just production dates making them different?

You will only be able to get hold of the current version - those not marked ENDED. 

The 'ENDED' versions will have been replaced by an updated/modified variant as production continued to deal with problems with either the earlier version, mods to the other car parts around it, or perhaps a changed supplier.

I've seen an ended item being listed on a website a lot cheaper and still new so maybe worth a go?

Part 4 is c£180-200 new for the blower unit which looks like a fan
I think it's the part which moves air around

Any thoughts on a used item at £50 from a 2011 60k car, worth a punt as I still need the regulator which I'm thinking new and other spend on car which is all mounting up

did you end up replacing it? I might have the same issue

I picked up a used LCI blower unit can and the regulator
Thought I'll take a gamble as was £60 for both

The squealing has gone but the pulsating is still an issue, although maybe not as bad but still more than noticeable

Regulators can be had quite cheap, not sure if to try a new one
I've read other treads some have had to try a few to resolve
